Plain-English
terms.
Effective: March 2026
The short version
LookOut is a Chrome extension that syncs your Outlook Web App calendar events to Google Calendar. These terms govern your use of the extension, the website at lookout.events, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By installing or using LookOut, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, uninstall the extension and stop using the Service.
What LookOut does
LookOut reads calendar events from your authenticated Outlook Web App session and writes them to your Google Calendar using the official Google Calendar API. Calendar data processing happens locally in your browser. Server-side components handle authentication, subscription management, and sync settings.
The Service requires you to be signed in to Outlook Web App in your browser and to authorize Google Calendar access via OAuth. LookOut does not store your Google or Microsoft passwords.
We provide the Service "as available." Calendar sync depends on Microsoft's web interface and Google's API — changes to either may temporarily affect functionality. We'll do our best to adapt quickly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use LookOut. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately via the contact page.
One account per person. Don't share accounts or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or pricing tiers.
Pricing & billing
LookOut offers a free tier and paid plans. Free features are described on the pricing page and may change over time.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the frequency you selected (monthly or annual). We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles all payment processing.
- Renewals — subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date
- Cancellation — you can cancel at any time from the extension settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period
- Refunds — we offer a full refund within the first 7 days of your initial subscription. After that, no partial refunds for unused time
- Price changes — if we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their rate until they cancel. We'll notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on renewal
Acceptable use
You agree to use LookOut only for its intended purpose: syncing your own calendar data. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the extension
- Use the Service to access calendars you are not authorized to view
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service
- Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or circumvent rate limits
- Use the Service for automated scraping unrelated to personal calendar sync
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Intellectual property
The LookOut extension, website, branding, and all associated code are owned by LookOut. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial calendar sync purposes.
Your data is yours. We claim no ownership over your calendar events, account information, or any data processed by the extension. LookOut is a tool — it syncs your data on your behalf.
"LookOut," the LookOut logo, and "lookout.events" are our trademarks. You may not use them without prior written permission.
Disclaimers & limitations
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that LookOut will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Outlook or Google configuration.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LookOut's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, missed meetings, or scheduling conflicts — even if we've been advised of the possibility.
LookOut is not affiliated with Microsoft or Google. We are an independent tool that works with their publicly available web interfaces and APIs.
Ending the agreement
You can leave any time. Uninstall the extension and your local data is gone. Cancel your subscription from the extension settings to stop future charges. Request deletion of your account and all server-side data by contacting us via the contact page.
We may terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in abuse, or if we discontinue the Service entirely. If we shut down, we'll provide at least 30 days' notice via email and refund any unused portion of prepaid annual subscriptions.
Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a right or provision doesn't constitute a waiver.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-extension notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
